At which level should you study?
LEVELS 4 AND 5
For mid-managers, Levels 4 and 5 CMI Courses are more appropriate as they focus on developing core management skills such as managing resources, recruitment, and information management.
LEVELS 6 AND 7
Levels 6 and 7 CMI Courses are developed for senior managers who have the responsibility to translate organisational strategy into effective performance.
LEVEL 8
CMI is the only organisation that offers Level 8, which is suited to C-level senior managers.
Award, Certificate or a Diploma?
Awards are the shortest and most concise qualifications consisting of one unit and typically take between one and two months to complete.
Certificates provide a broad base of knowledge and skills consisting of two units and typically take between two and four months to complete.
Diplomas provide a comprehensive and extensive programme consisting of five or more units and typically take between five and ten months to complete.
Extended Diplomas provide the highest and most comprehensive level of learning consisting of seven or more units and typically take between seven and 12 months to complete.

For CEO’s, Directors and Strategic Managers.
Equivalent to a Doctorate in Management, the online CMI Level 8 Strategic Direction and Leadership course is designed for Directors and Senior Managers with responsibility for developing and implementing ethical and performance-driven strategy across multiple organisations, leading by example to inspire teams and provide clear direction.
You must have a Level 7 qualification or equivalent and/or have been in a Senior Management position for at least 3 years to apply for this course.
